Visiting our son and his family has brought a growing amount of trepidation. While we love spending time with our oldest and his lovely wife as well as our beautiful granddaughters, for the last 3 trips to Colorado, the adventure has been over the top.

Three trips ago, an evacuation for their subdivision was encouraged because of fires. Two trips ago we witnessed the most horrific hail I have ever known. And this most recent trip had us leave a whole day early to make a flight that could possibly get canceled but had us driving in a snow storm. Passing several vehicles that had lost the fight with the slippery road conditions, our son buckled down and drove cautiously!

Life truly has so many unexpected and constant changes; Causing anxiety that steals our joy is a battle that must be fought. The simple truth that our God never changes must be where we keep our focus and live:

James 1:17, NLT

Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
