Today as I was observing my Wednesday Fast, I received an anxious call from my mother several States over. In 2015, when my dad died and I began this blog, I knew writing would bring healing, but what I did not know was God’s plan to continue taking my loved ones home!
This life is comprised of death! No doubt about it! Sin brought death (Romans 5:12). But Praise God, He sent His Son, Jesus to bring life (John 10:10, 3:16). Praise God there is life in His Son (Romans 10:13). If you do not have that “New” life, I would encourage you to turn to Him today. Do not put it off any longer! We ALL will take our last breath in this world!
Today is exactly three years and six months since my sister-in-law’s passing (my brother’s wife, 52 years young) and just 2 years and 10 days since my nephew (23 years young) joined his mom.
“…The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord,” Job 1:21.
My brother-in-law, Allen, 64 years old (my oldest sister’s husband) has now joined the Chorus of adoration to our King~
“And all the angels were standing around the throne…and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,” Revelation 7:11
Just one week after being rushed to the hospital in an active heart attack and having two stents placed in two major artery blockages, the doctor’s words were emphatic: It was a miracle he was still alive! God gave him the miracle of a week longer to live life. He was rehearsing a song for a funeral that was to take place in just a few short hours, but he collapsed for the last time on this earth. I marvel that it was while he was SINGING! That’s what Allen did to the glory of God! He sang! He traveled for several years with the Southern Plainsmen Quartet; God gifted Allen with a voice, and Allen used his gift to the glory of God!
My sister’s Facebook Cover photo says: Look Back and Thank God; Look Forward and Trust God
There will be much in the days ahead for which she will need to trust God! But as always, she will continue to trust God by putting one foot in front of the other…to the glory of God!
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved…” Acts 1:16!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We will definitely pass them on to her🙏🏼

This blog is beautifully written. My prayers are with all of you. I hold a very special place in my heart for Allen and Roxy because they were so kind to my kids, Alex and Katelyn, when they were young. Allen and Alex would talk and joke around. Allen will truly be missed by many. He was such a wonderful person and had a beautiful voice to give praise to the Lord. Please let Roxy know that she is loved and if she needs anything please let know. Love, Andrea (Sissy Johnson) LaFleur
