What will my fiery furnace look like today? I can never know what I will pass through in a day, but what I do know for certain is that no matter how dark, or how deep, or how hot, no matter how time consuming, my Savior and Sustainer will be there to walk me through it ALL, and YES, “through:” because more times than not, it is through and not around or over that I must pass to acquire the greatest lessons in godliness, to build my understanding of how He works, to strengthen my resolve to continue, and to acquire a deeper understanding of how wisdom is infused, and knowledge is displayed!
Hello God! This morning, I raise my voice to you and direct my prayer, with great eagerness I watch (Psalm 5:3)!
The Accuser:
There are certain Jews who pay no attention to you and refuse to serve your gods and do not worship the golden image you have set up, O illustrious king! These three Hebrew young men, whom you have placed over the province of Babylon, are not wavering in their belief (Daniel 3:12).
The Accused:
O Nebuchadnezzar, we in no way need to defend ourselves or even raise our voice to YOU. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, our God whom we serve IS ABLE to deliver us; and He WILL deliver us out of your hand, O king! But even if he does not, we want to make it clear to you, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up (Daniel 3:16-18).
As these three, young, wise Hebrew men stood firm in their faith and zealously watched what outcome this fiery ordeal would bring, God worked. The end result shocked the Babylonian nation as proud king Nebuchadnezzar praised the God of the Hebrews and promoted these champions who stood firm in their faith to even higher positions of leadership (Daniel 3:28-30; Ephesians 6:10-18).

Have you stood firm against assertions and claims so God can promote you to even higher service for Him?
“For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield” (Psalm 5:12, NKJV).
I raise my voice to you, God while praying for grace to stand firm against false assertions! Thanks, Scarlett Road!
