Dear Friends,
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
God’s will for each of us, His children (those who have placed their faith and trust in Him for eternal life and forgiveness of our sin) is to give thanks! We are to give thanks according to His righteousness (Psalm 7:17). And because He is right, thanksgiving along with prayer has proven to benefit our minds (Colossians 4:2; Psalm 28:7; Colossians 3:15; Philippians 4:6).
As I sat in the Chiropractor’s office waiting my turn, I examined the flyer lying next to me. The part that especially caught my attention was “How Being Thankful Boosts the Brain!” Let me share what God already knows and included as part of His will for our lives!
“Practicing gratitude not only boosts your mood but also positively impacts your brain. Studies show it activates the hypothalamus, which controls essential functions like eating, sleeping, and metabolism, while stimulating the prefrontal cortex to improve decision-making, memory, and thinking.
Grateful people tend to have higher levels of positive emotions, life satisfaction, vitality, optimism and lower levels of depression and stress. Expressing gratitude induces feelings of happiness, improves sleep quality, and boosts the immune system.
Furthermore, gratitude strengthens relationships by making us feel more connected and understood by others.
By making gratitude a habit through simple practices like keeping a gratitude journal or expressing thanks regularly, you can rewire your brain for greater well-being and resilience.” (November 2024 Issue/Newsletter published monthly by Fayetteville Family Chiropractic)
Our Creator cares about every detail of our lives and through His written Word He explains what works best for how He created us! This Thanksgiving season is a great time to allow the Creator to rewire our brains and hearts with the beautiful character trait of gratitude! Let’s make it a way of life, our habit of beginning the day and ending the day and even sprinkled throughout the day!
See ya soon,
Scarlett

Happy Thanksgiving! That is an amazing point: We are blessed as we bless the Lord. Thanks Scarlett Road. A beautiful picture!
