Praise HIM: Our Resurrected Savior and Lord! Happy Easter, 2025!

A great celebration day will commence in a matter of hours! Is your menu appealing, your Easter apparel worthy, and your admiration for a resurrected Lord heartfelt?

At the beginning of my current 40 day fast, the Lord provided a WORD for me while continually bringing nourishment through His written Word for my spiritual body in spite of some hiccups along the way! Yet, God’s WORDS are never idle, or empty; they come packed with great meaning and purpose and never experience a hiccup. Praise HIM: Our Resurrected Savior and Lord!

Let me praise my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, for consistently arranging for my spiritual nourishment and the culmination for these 40 days through three great events. First, on Palm Sunday, our pastor shared a sermon from Luke 24 which brought me to my knees because it was exactly what the Holy Spirit of God placed on my heart that very morning. Second, Thursday, April 17, (2025) I completed my devotional book for 2024. It was so bittersweet to come to the end (finally 😉). The Lord fed me so much spiritual food and especially these last 472 days which I digested that I have poured over His Word with a spiritual hunger and thirst like never before. Third, our church’s production of the “Service of Shadows” on this Good Friday evening was so magnificent! Glory Hallelujah! Praise HIM: Our Resurrected Savior and Lord!

Jesus wants us to know the importance of everything we eat, and not just for our physical bodies but even more for our spiritual! Praise HIM: Our Resurrected Savior and Lord!

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes has eternal life. Yes, I am the bread of life! Your ancestors ate manna in the wilderness, but they all died. Anyone who eats the bread from heaven, however, will never die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world my live, is my flesh.” (John 6:47-51, NLT)

I love allegories and symbolic stories, and Jesus often taught through allegorical, symbolic, figurative and metaphorically. It is through this avenue that He refers to Himself as BREAD: the Greek word, artos. As bread for our spiritual soul, He brings life not death. I am so thankful to know this Savior, Who died the death I could not die and gives life the life I could not receive apart from Him. He is the bread of life and the living water! So I never have to hunger and thirst again. He is all we need!

“On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, ‘Anyone who is thirsty may come to me! Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’’ (When he said ‘living water,’ he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)” (John 7:37-39)

The LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I shall not want! Psalm 23
