Anthony Jacque

After arriving home from a Tennessee Thanksgiving, I’m sitting at my computer pondering the nearness of God and asking Him to fill my nephew with that nearness as he celebrates yet another birthday in prison (he turns 46). From my last correspondence with him, I am saddened to lose the advantage of writing to him personally because his last transfer changed to a much higher rate for staying in touch. I feel for his mom and brother. It is true when you go to prison it cost the whole family!

Yet, I am thankful for those who come alongside my sister and encourage her in so many tangible ways, and for the gift of Jacque 46 years ago at Thanksgiving time. All our gifts are given with great purpose from a God Who is not limited in any way by our inadequacies! God’s love for us never changes and His desire for us never changes.

“For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers,” Romans 8:29, ESV.

Many of you committed to praying for Jacque. With the death of his dad, July 2024, a greater weight rests on my sister and two nephews. So please know that your prayers are the greatest blessing you can offer them. Thank you!
