This is supposed to be my last day of “no dairy, no sugar” fast for the month of March which I extended until Easter: Resurrection Sunday, April 17, 2022. I am a bit disappointed for it to come to an end because I do not want to fall back into old habits in thinking or eating. I am talking with the Lord about the changes that need to continue in my life.
However, I am so ready to celebrate BIG with other believers as morning rises in just a few hours and Resurrection Sunday breaks forth in jubilant praise for what Jesus did for the Church, God’s Body of believers!
Our Pastor recently preached a message that I thought would be perfect for Easter: The greatness of God seen on the Mount of Transfiguration
The Transfiguration: evidence of life beyond the grave (Luke 9:28-35)!
Moses and Elijah, great prophets of God, have been dead for some 1500 years and 900 years respectively. Here they are dispatched from God the Father to talk with God the Son on earth concerning what will be taking place soon. Jesus is having an extended conversation with these two mortals about what He will soon endure through crucifixion. They still have their same names, the same physical bodies, voices, and vocal cords. They are thinking rationally, and not questioning all they had to endure while living but even in their remembering can see how God worked it for His glory and in turn will bring us joy. They are very much alive encouraging the Lamb of God for what He is about to suffer and rejoicing in the resurrection and ascension to come as well.
This is evidence there is life beyond the grave! For the believer in Jesus, there is life beyond the grave! Moses and Elijah provide strong evidence!
There is life beyond the grave because of Jesus who conquered the grave!
Up from the grave He arose With a mighty triumph o’er His foes He arose a Victor from the dark domain And He lives forever with His saints to reign He arose! (He arose) He arose! (He arose) Hallelujah! Christ arose!
Written by Robert Lowry

“But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died.”
1 Corinthians 15:20, NLT
Because Jesus lives, we will live beyond the grave! For one generation of Christians, there will not be a grave because of their rapture!
Up from the grave He arose!! Joining you in celebration Scarlett Road!
