Day 16
No sugar or dairy
Have you been at the point of drifting to sleep, because it’s your bedtime, and your cell dings? Or maybe it dings and dings and dings! Lucky me. When you live in Eastern Standard Time and you have children who live in Central and Mountain Time, well it happens. Now don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love hearing from my bunch. But I also positively love my sleep. For someone like me, it is imperative that I get my rest. My sweet hubby made the remark today that he couldn’t wait until I could have sugar again. So, you can imagine a wife with no sleep AND no sugar. But seriously, I THINK he was joking. We did laugh about it, anyway! 😉
So instead of thinking of the forbidden good things to eat (and end up grumpy), I want to concentrate on the good things of the Lord (and perhaps end up with gratitude).
Search for him and for his strength, and keep on searching! Think of the mighty deeds he did for us, his chosen ones.
Psalm 105:4-5, The Living Bible
Trust the Lord and sincerely worship him; think of all the tremendous things he has done for you.
1 Samuel 12:24
Perhaps tonight I will hear from my bunch before bedtime and while thinking on precious memories, fall fast asleep.
Can you think of some tremendous things He has done for YOU?
