I noticed the CCBS student who works in the Library on Monday evenings was missing last night!
I am the humble, meek, and mild librarian for Tuesday and Thursday nights, but on Monday nights, I have a death-defying class – Genesis! Yet, I strolled into the library last night on a quest to share a bit of information with the librarian on duty and low and behold she was nowhere to be found!! I questioned a fellow student and then proceeded to question another and then another, while all the time there sat behind a computer at a workstation – a student! What did he know about the librarian’s disappearance??? Was he somehow involved? I questioned him over and over – trying to see if his story stayed the same. He seemed to be uneasy, but maybe that was just the pepperoni pizza he had been eating not agreeing with him. Twenty-four hours later the news was out – she simply forgot it was her night to be in the Library.
The moral of the story: Don’t jump to conclusions #toomanyhallmarkmysteries
Seeing her lips moving but hearing no sound, he thought she had been drinking. (1 Samuel 1:13, NLT)!!
In 2014, I finally earned my associate degree in Bible after a 30-year absence from college life. During this auspicious interval of my life, I had the privilege of helping in the college library. And it was there, at Carolina College of Biblical Studies in Fayetteville, North Carolina, that I was motivated to write, and did in fact write my “Episodes in the Library!”
Tuesdays and Thursdays were a good excuse to hang out in the library. Such a cute librarian! RAP
