PRICELESS! IRREPLACEABLE!

As we toured Washington D.C. with all the rich history throughout, the Smithsonian Institute held a most captivating piece: the Hope Diamond. According to the Smithsonian Institute, the Hope Diamond is priceless because it is irreplaceable.

Seven years ago, I began writing on the Scarlett Road recording accounts to let my “little” light shine. My desire is to “sparkle and shine” like a diamond (even though in the rough) for my Savior and King.

I want to start each new year sharing the gospel message of the King – the Good News of Jesus Christ, because to understand my writing, you must first understand the gospel.

This message is PRICELESS! It is truly IRREPLACEABLE!

Being diligent to do the work assigned to me (Acts 20:24), a herald of the King – a representative for my Savior and Lord – announcing my testimony of coming out of darkness into the glorious light!

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

1 Peter 2:9, ESV

The concise Gospel: Good News of Jesus Christ explained in the Book of 1 Corinthians through the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the pen of the Apostle Paul:

“I passed on to you what was most important and what had been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. He was seen by [many].”

1 Corinthians 15:3-5a, NLT

The Book of Romans gives further understanding to this great mystery:

Truth 1: All people have a knowledge of God (Romans 1:18-20, NASB)

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

Truth 2: All people reject God (Romans 1:21-25)

For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Truth 3: All people are guilty before God (Romans 3:10-12, 23)

as it is written,
“THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE.” for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Truth 4: All people are condemned for rejecting God (Romans 3:20)

because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.

Truth 5: God has made a way of Salvation for the Lost (Romans 5:8; 6:23)

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. . . . For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Truth 6: People cannot come to God apart from faith in Christ (Romans 5:1; 10:9)

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, . . .  that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

Truth 7: Christ commands The Church to make the Gospel known to all people (Romans 10:13-14)

for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.” How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?

This is my story; I want to faithfully sing it until He calls me home or returns to take me home along with all believers – His very own possession – to our eternal reward!
