- They could not debate him, so they murdered him
- A music minister involved in an affair murders his wife so he can be free
- Feeling the weight of caring for children, the mother strangles them to death
- Unable to cope with life, she decides to take an overdose
- Feeling the baby would be a burden, she exterminates the pregnancy
- Wanting a fan base, he takes steroids and performs excessive abuse to his own body
Violence is everywhere! …Must I forever see these evil deeds? Why must I watch all this misery? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence, I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight. The law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts…justice has become perverted. –Habakkuk 1:2b-4, NLT
Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God. Wealth is treacherous, and the arrogant are never at rest. They open their mouths as wide as the grave, and like death, they are never satisfied. –Habakkuk 2:4-5b
The following are snippets from Day’s 1-3 of my 2026 September Fast:
(Day 1) After hearing Stephen’s words, the Jewish leaders become enraged and drag him out of the city where they stone him. Unable to debate him; they murder him.
(Day 2) A fatiguing battle ensues in the Valley of Humiliation and a Christian comes face to face with Satan himself. The Scriptures strongly warn of the intent of our enemy to steal, kill, and destroy God’s children. Jesus died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them (2 Corinthians 5:15, NLT). A holy desire should be to not live for self but for the One who is our Maker, Sustainer, and Friend. His Word must be our daily nourishment, and our focus must be the next step on the path of our eternal destination. He has set me free in Christ to live for the glory that He alone deserves!

Praise God, through His power we can be liberated from any earthly bondage.
(Day 3) The day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away… what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, we must be on guard so that we will not be carried away by the errors of the wicked and lose our own secure footing. Instead, we should strive to be growing in Christ (2 Peter 3).
(Day 23) The Sovereign LORD IS my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights (Habakkuk 3:19).
Please understand the seriousness of a little sin and do not lose your secure footing, just a spark ignites a fiery infernal!
