“I want to live so fully in the Spirit that all my thoughts may be as sweet incense ascending to Thee and every act of my life may be an act of worship.” —A.W. Tozer
As a healthy investment, we made a choice to invest in Young Living Essential Oils several years ago. Our years of apartment living made us especially grateful for the oils. When the diffuser wasn’t going a malodorous, provoking smell would hang in the air of each room of our apartment. Sometimes the bathrooms were the most difficult to keep the offensive odor from lingering.
Like my living conditions, my life will emit a foul or pleasant aroma. How I choose to handle the daily circumstances will decide what type of fragrance my life is emitting. There are only two choices.
I want to live so fully in the Spirit (Be filled with the Spirit, Ephesians 5:18) that all my thoughts (take every thought captive, 2 Corinthians 10:5) may be as sweet incense ascending to Thee (present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, Romans 12:1) and every act of my life (Let all that you do be done in love, 1 Corinthians 16:14; Love does not act unbecomingly, 1 Corinthians 13:5) may be an act of worship (our gifts are acts of worship, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God, Philippians 4:18).
Are your circumstances not quite what you envisioned? It’s a real test to our character if it grows and is developed as a sweet smelling incense rising to the Father or becomes a battle ground of foul-smelling, putrid odors that hang about our very existence.
