Taking a Stand in 2023

We are at the beginning of a New Year and entering unfamiliar territory. It may seem dark and anxiety laden. But whether you feel slight trepidation or total chaos ensuing, you have a choice to make. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering … Continue reading Taking a Stand in 2023

Not so “merry” Christmas

I find myself doctoring the hubby, again!, this time for a bad cold he has borne for 2 weeks, and it has now spiraled into BAD, BAD! So, reinforcements were called in, an antibiotic and cough meds. Though, the drive to CVS brought blaring thoughts that needed to be tackled~ thoughts of feeling sorry for … Continue reading Not so “merry” Christmas

For You!

Do you know the sequence of the Christmas story and how it relates to you? The Nation of Israel have been waiting for God’s Redeemer to come to rescue His people from the tyranny of the day. Fear has been a way of life with many going their own way. Yet, a small remnant is … Continue reading For You!

The “Feel Good” Antidote!

Christmastime has always provoked a desire to experience LOVE. Romance novels and Hallmark movies were the norm and certainly instrumental in setting a standard for me as a young girl. And in the New Testament the book of Galatians gives a full list of the fruit we can expect to grow from our time under the teaching of the Holy Spirit. Thinking of Thanksgiving and all that goes into the preparation of the … Continue reading A Little Seasoning

Karpós

Are you struggling to find something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season? Sometimes we just need reminders of the many blessings sent from above. They really are not hard to uncover when you think about it. Just a few hundred years ago, disease was the norm, and many diseases were not controlled by wearing … Continue reading Karpós

Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons. ~Jim Bishop

A perfect place to inspect your favorite flavor of apples, scan for those yummy pecans, peruse mounds of beautifully colored Mums and pick the best pumpkins for decorating your porch. But even more rewarding at this time of year with shortened days is to not shorten our time with “seeing and savoring” our Savior. This indeed is where we reap the greatest satisfaction.

O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for You; my whole body longs for You in this parched and weary land where there is no water. I have seen You in Your sanctuary and gazed upon Your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than…
